Ordered from koihappiness.com for the first time it was totally fine. Like, very calm experience, definitely wasn’t checking the tracking too often or anything. The site was easy to figure out, checkout didn’t act up, and my order showed up packed nicely and looking exactly how I expected. I had one small question and they got back to me quickly, so no drama there. Overall, I’m happy with how it went and I’d order again.

My order from koihappiness.com was mostly correct, but one of the items came in a different size than what I selected. It wasn’t a huge deal, but it was still annoying, especially because the communication around it wasn’t very clear. The rest of the items were fine, so overall it wasn’t a bad experience. I’d just double-check my order more carefully next time.

I’m not totally sure if I was just missing something, but the bidding seemed to jump in a weird way and it didn’t feel completely fair from my side. Maybe that’s just how these auctions work, but it left me feeling a bit unsure about the whole process.

The refund side of things was a bit slow though, and I had to follow up by email and check my receipt/details a couple of times. My koi arrived after the quarantine period and they looked great. I’m probably a little biased because I really appreciate sellers who take biosecurity seriously, and I liked that they’re clear about keeping tanks separate and not rushing fish out the door. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I would’ve loved a few more updates while I was waiting. That’s partly just me being impatient and excited, but still, a bit more communication would’ve made the experience even better.

They do have a good variety, and I was able to find what I wanted quickly. That said, I felt a little misled because it seemed like everything would be more straightforward than it actually was. Overall, not a bad experience, just not exactly what I expected.

Checkout went smoothly for me. I paid with my card and, thankfully, the page didn’t freeze or throw any odd errors, which is the bare minimum you hope for when you’re handing over payment info. The order confirmation came through quickly too. I’m taking off one star because the final page was a little slow to load, but the payment itself went through without any problems

The price was laid out clearly from the start, and I didn’t get hit with random extra fees at checkout like some places love to do. that should be standard, but I’m happy this one didn’t mess around.

If you’re new to buying koi online, that kind of info is definitely worth looking for. Not every little detail was perfect, but there was enough there for me to feel comfortable. Overall, I’d say it was a solid experience and I’d give it 4 stars.

I’ve ordered from a couple other places before where the fish seemed a little stressed or took a while to perk up, but these were calm, no clamped fins, no weird flashing, and already moving around normally. After a short acclimation, they started exploring the pond and were eating by the next morning. The colors are clear, they look strong, and a few days later they’re still active and healthy. Really happy with how they arrived and settled in compared to some of my past orders

But this one was just the size they listed, or at least it looked that way to me. The site made the sizing clear, with no odd photos or guessing games, which made me feel a lot better about buying. I picked up my koi locally from Koi and it was way easier than I expected. They had everything ready when I got there, so I wasn’t standing around in the parking lot awkwardly with my coffee getting cold. The fish looked healthy and active, and the people there were really nice and easy to talk to. I got home, floated the bag while I messed with my pond net, and the koi settled in great. I’d definitely buy from them again.
